Where to get your Payday-style treats that will work hard for you in your wardrobe.
One gorgeous part of my job as a Personal Stylist in London, UK is to keep you inspired by introducing you to new brands, exciting boutiques and knowing where and what is best for you and your capsule wardrobes. It is a total joy and something I totally adore helping you with.
In danger of my blogs becoming too ‘samey’ each week, I thought I would mix it up at the end of every month just in time for a payday treat for you all! Of course, I’m not encouraging unnecessary spending or impulse buying. That goes against EVERYTHING I stand for and we work on together oon, but with your excellent understanding of your own personal style along with your body shape knowledge and clothing routines that we create for you, shopping and inspiration is a total perk now.
Why do I encourage a payday treat?
You know I am all about shopping with intent. Aka planning your shopping trip including the route and of course coffee stops. Most importantly shopping with a specific list of items you actually need. If you happen to fall head over heels for something you ADORE but its not on your list however you know how to restyle it with existing pieces in your wardrobe… at least twice then you are very much allowed to bring it home with you. I think payday treats are the latter – beautiful pieces you can’t leave without and voila, you know that they will work hard within your capsule wardrobe.
What are my payday treats this month?
So, introducing to you for the very first time… my payday treats. Pieces you can’t possibly live without. I also think you will find most of them will work with anything you already own… Click on each item for a direct link (I have finally worked out how to do it after 2 years of hosting my style subscription… better late than never right? Happy online shopping and make sure you let me know what you go for.
Look 1
Three wardrobe staples here for you that you can either wear as an outfit or treat yourself to your fave piece from this selection and pair it with a hard working item in your capsule wardrobe.
Wear the All saints faux leather mini with a plain body, a silky shirt or a cosy cropped jumper.
Style the Maje Bodyusiu with anything from jeans, leather, clash it with more animal print, a mini denim skirt or layered under an awesome denim boiler suit (like the reformation one below)
The DMs can be worn with quite literally anything. Think floaty maxi dresses to cord, to more leather and suede, gingham, animal print… the list goes on!
Look 2
Maxis are making a comeback this SS22 and I am HERE for it! I think a maxi, cropped denim jacket with a statement earring is the ultimate look for the pub.
Restyle the maxi with some biker boots and leather to give it more of an edge or layer over a cosy knit when it’s freezing and obvs this denim jacket will look amazing with it.
Wear this denim jacket with a mini in a shape that suits your frame. Minis are also making a huge comeback this summer so get those razors out gals'. A denim jacket can work over any print and be worn with any colour - zero rules apply with denim.
Finish your outfit and give it some flair with a statement earring of your choice. Gold is perfect for you who have a warm skin tone - your Spring or Autumn season ladies.
Look 3
The ultimate mix of both colour and texture with look 3. You have probably picked up on my obsession for leather or faux leather. It’s because it is the perfect fabric for sexy without trying. It’s also very classic and extremly easy to dress up or down. I could also go on but ill leave it.
Wear these Levi flares with the DMs above and the All Saints body if this bright knit and coat combo is too much for you. Obvs the gold earrings and denim jacket will work too…
The cosy purple knit is for you Spring ladies. I love the texture and vibrancy it will give to any outfit. Remember, purple os great to wear if you have a lot of mediation to do (either at home or work lol) I particularly recommend it for you lawyers. Wear it over dresses, with jeans and a silky mini to keep mixing textures.
This turquoise coat is utterly divine. Wear it over anything or actually wear it with nothing under haha. It’s the ultimate balance between a classic coat shape but a much more creative colour which gives it so much more uniqueness.
My top 3
Three totally unrelated pieces but the three things I really want to treat myself to this payday.
The leopard print, metallic gold mini dress is just heaven isn’t it? I would wear it with the DMs, some leather leggings and turquoise coat if freezing and when warmer just converse and the statement earrings.
This denim Reformation jumpsuit is just total greatness in a jumpsuit. Dress it for a night with your girlfriends with a heel, lippy and statement earring or with DMs and a coat for weekend brunch.
Finally, I LOVE Bluebella lingerie, its a fab fit, comfortable, very reasonable and super sexy. The perfect treat for you, always buy the matching pants…
I hope you have discovered some new brands and styles and given yourself a very well deserved payday treat! If you are struggling with how to define your style, check out last weeks blog on ‘How to find your personal style’ to give you some inspo!
Stylish wishes as always,
